Pendants For Kitchen Islands
If you've ever stood in a beautifully renovated kitchen and felt like something was still missing, chances are it was the lighting. The kitchen island is the heart of modern home life — it's where breakfast happens, homework gets done, and dinner parties spill over — and the pendant light above it deserves to match that energy.
Enter the Calibo Bulbul Modern Spiral LED Linear Pendant. Available in 1500mm and 2000mm lengths, there's a size for every island bench — whether you're working with a compact kitchen or a sprawling entertainer's layout. The spiral aluminium body catches the eye before it even switches on, winding its way across the ceiling like a piece of sculptural art. Once lit, the LED output throws generous, even light across your entire island bench, eliminating the dark corners and uneven patches that single pendants can leave behind. The 1500mm model runs at 80W, while the 2000mm steps up to 110W — both more than capable of properly illuminating a kitchen island.
The Bulbul comes in two finishes: Brass and Black. The brass finish brings warmth and a touch of glamour — perfect if your kitchen leans into natural stone benchtops, timber cabinetry, or a Hamptons-meets-contemporary aesthetic. The black finish is bold and graphic, ideal for kitchens with dark cabinetry, concrete surfaces, or a sleek industrial vibe. Both finishes are crafted from aluminium, so they're built to last well beyond the trends they're setting.
One of the standout features is the tri-colour temperature selector — choose between 3000K (warm white) for a cosy dinner atmosphere, 4000K (neutral white) for everyday tasks, or 6500K (cool daylight) when you need sharp, clear light for cooking. This kind of flexibility is rare in a pendant at this price point, and it makes the Bulbul as practical as it is beautiful.
With a maximum drop of 3170mm, it suits both standard and double-height ceilings, and the wide canopy ensures a clean, secure installation. It carries a 3-year warranty and is rated for indoor use, making it a confident long-term investment for your home.
Whether you're mid-renovation or just ready to elevate your space, the Calibo Bulbul is the kind of fitting that makes people walk into your kitchen and immediately ask, "Where did you get that light?"
